The project:
Creating a original look that stood out in a bloated market for Evolution textbooks called... Evolution.
The challenge:
This edition needed a full redesign to stand out in a crowded market.
My approach:
Thinking of the chapter openers as a marketing piece, I decided to go against the industry
standard for these books
by utilizing full bleed photographs and color for a
"magazine" look.
This book won a 2017
In-house design award from Graphic Design USA magazine.
